History
Sri Maha Kaliamman Sevai Nilayam was founded by the late grandfather of Dato’ Seri Dr. Swamiji Sri Nagesroa Naidu fifty three years ago. Since then it has been their family temple. Dato’ Seri took over this temple in 1982. He performs prayers and find remedies for the problems of the devotees’.
Goddess Durgai with Kaliamman Avatar is the main “moolastanam” goddess in this temple. Pachamugam Pillayar, Maduraveeran, Pathenyethapadi Karrupusamy, Hanuman, Jegan Matha and other goddess are also worshipped in this temple. The first Kumbha Abhisegam was performed in 2004 and then the temple was renovated and held Kumbha Abhisegam in 2016. The most auspicious day is Amavasai and the most auspicious month is Aadi month. Grand Aadi Thiruvizha will is celebrated during Aadi month. The temple provides free milk and kudam to all paalkudam devotees and sarees for poor married women.
This Ambal is known for fulling and granting all devotees’ prayers who comes and prays to Ambal full heartedly and genuinely. There is various miracles has happened to devotees who worships this Ambal, below are some of the stories shared by the devotees itself:
Dato’ Seri Dr. Swamiji Sri Nagesroa Naidu with the blessing from this auspicious Ambal, provide consultation services to the temple devotees to manage or overcome their problems by seeking the permission from the Ambal itself. This service is offered freely to all devotees and only purchase of pooja item payment required if there is a need for their problems.

- You or anyone in your household have high fever, new continuous cough, loss of taste & smell or not well (cold or flu).
- You or anyone in your household has tested positive for Covid-19.
- You had close contact with a person who may have Covid19.
- Anyone in your household is self-isolating or has been asked to self-isolate
- You or anyone in your household have travelled in the past 14 days and are self-isolating
Inside the Temple, it is compulsory to use face mask, hand sanitizer and maintain social distancing all the time.
